Hey everyone! Here I am today at 33 weeks! This week, baby is the size of a durian fruit or a pineapple, depending on which website you look at, and his bones are getting stronger He is also practicing breathing, sucking and swallowing, which they showed me on the ultra sound we had on Tuesday!
Speaking of which, the ultra sound went well. The doctor said our baby is “slender” but still in the normal range so he isn’t “too small” according to the averages! So, I go back in about 3 weeks just to double check his growth again and make sure everything is still on track.
I go back for my regular check up next week, I am on the every two weeks schedule now! And my mom will be in town so she will get to come with me! And now for something a little different on my bumpdate!
Today I decided to link up with Neely and Amber for “It’s ok Thursdays” and give my own “pregnancy” spin on it!
It’s OK….
when the doctor tells you your baby is slender and you start to think of sports “slender” boys can play, since it probably wont be football (we came up with Olympic swimmer, soccer player and race car driver)
to eat cookies, rice krispies treats, ice cream and muddy buddy chex mix all in one day when you’re pregnant
to wish you could make friends with all the other pregnant women at Starbucks so your babies can play together, but then be too chicken to say hi to them
to still be undecided on if you want to announce the name you picked out for your baby to the world just quite yet
to check your baby registry every day (more than once?!)
to start looking for Halloween costumes for your baby even though he isn’t born yet!
that you don’t have anything ready or set up in the baby’s room except the crib! (I keep saying, we still have time- but soon we won’t! yikes!)
to feel super nervous about giving birth and admit you have no idea what you are doing, just like everyone else who is a first time mom (right? RIGHT?)
when you are going away for a beach weekend for your birthday and plan to spend most of the time at the pool!
and….to be super excited about the Olympics starting next Friday! Yay!
What’s ok with you?
