Okay so here I am! Before baby belly, the last day I was pregnant, and today!
Wow that is quite a change for a body to go through in less than 9 months! In my “after after” my shirt is kind of baggy so you cannot see my “after”-ness really, but I am not going to take a shirt up picture now! Baby belly is cute but after baby belly is squishy and not-so-cute! I am still wearing my maternity jeans because my old jeans still don’t fit, but my goal is to fit into those jeans again one day! I also have a goal of losing a little bit of weight in my face, which I only have started to notice this week that my face got a little bigger during my pregnancy (and my chin/neck area!)
Before you comment, I am not fishing for compliments here! People keep saying “you look so good, for someone who just had a baby!!” For someone who just had a baby. My goal is to drop that part of the sentence!
I have to admit, with the stress of having a newborn, lack of sleep, working etc it is very hard to think about and talk about your body. Let alone finding time when you are free and awake enough to work out! After the first 2 weeks post-delivery I lost a lot of my pregnancy weight, however, since then my weight has really plateaued. But you know what? It took 8 months for it to look that way and I know its not going to change back in just 2 short months! I know my body will never look exactly the same again, but I can still have a goal to lose at least some of my pregnancy weight!
What are some tips you have for firming up the post-baby “squishy” belly?
My goals are:
Lose about 8 pounds
Lose the “squish” and get my belly firmer
Fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans! (isn’t that every pregnant woman’s goal though?)
I can do it!!!
