Today is Carter’s 2 month old day!
2 Months Stats:
Weight: He is up to about 10 pounds! We will get an official weight at his doctor appointment next week but for now I just hold him and step on the scale and then subtract what I weigh from it. Very scientific.
Height: Not sure about this one! At 1 month he was almost 22 inches, so I guess we’ll find out next week! But he is starting to get too tall for his newborn size footie pajamas so I think he probably has grown some!
Nicknames: I call him booger head and snuggley butt. Not sure why I just started saying it. Also, sometimes we call him baby when he is crying. As in “don’t be such a baby Carter” hehe
Looks like: He looks a lot like Andrew did as a baby! But with my lips!
Pacifier: He loves the pacifier! We don’t give it to him when he goes to sleep at night though, only during day naps. And sometimes when he is crying a lot we give it to him…don’t judge!
Sleeping: He sleeps pretty good for his age! He gets up once in the middle of the night to eat and then again around 6:30 or 7 am. The issue is when we put him to bed he takes forever to fall asleep sometimes and then just starts crying and wanting more food so we have to go back up there within 30 minutes of him going to bed!
Clothing: He wears newborn and 3 month size clothing. And he has some super cute clothes! Best dressed baby on the block!
I am almost too big for my “beep beep” outfit! |
Diapers: We use disposable diapers. He is in size 1 now because we got a gigantic box of them as a gift but we still have a few newborn ones we need to use up!
Adventures: He’s been on a lot of adventures so far! We’ve gone to several car shows, the pumpkin patch (twice!), Longwood Gardens and of course regular trips to the grocery store and Target! He also loves going to Starbucks with me!
Napping at the pumpkin patch! |
Fun Facts: Loves his Baby Einstein play-mat! Looks towards the TV when a new/different noise comes on. Smiles while he is falling asleep. Is starting to like his baths. Has really strong legs and loves to kick you! He also has strong little hands that love to grab hair and necklaces! Can hold his head up like a champ but hates tummy time! Seems to like it when you sing to him and make his arms “dance” to the beat. He is also a champion farter.
Love my play-mat! |
Looking Ahead: He is just starting to make little noises so I can’t wait until he starts “talking” more! He sometimes smiles but I am still looking for that one big “hi mommy!” smile!
Those are all the questions for this months update, but what other information would you want to know? What questions should I add (or delete) from this survey?
