Today Carter is 8 months old! I can’t believe it, it really does seem like the time is flying by! Last night, as I was giving him his bottle before bed, I was thinking about how he used to be so little he couldn’t even stretch out across my lap in the rocking chair and touch his feet to the other side. Now he seems huge compared to that and can barely fit across!
At 8 Months…
Carter weighs about 17.5 pounds (our scale at home only measures in half pounds) He goes to the doctor in May for his 9 month check up so we’ll get a more official weight then!
He just started crawling! (And is getting into everything now)
Carter can push himself up to sitting and is starting to try to push himself up to standing!
He loves our dog and will laugh and giggle every time Rocky comes near him! He loves watching him and always tries to reach out and grab him! Yesterday we went for a walk and he saw other dogs and laughed at them, too!
Carter has also developed a little bit of an “attitude”! He gets mad if you don’t let him do what he wants- like rolling over on the changing table. And he gets upset if you don’t feed him fast enough once he sees the food! He is a demanding little guy!
He loves the explore everything!
We are trying to teach him to wave, give kisses and clap his hands. So far he can kind of wave. He doesn’t really give kisses, just puts his mouth on your cheek (a drool-kiss!) and he doesn’t clap his hands by himself but he thinks it funny when you do it!
Happy 8 months Carter!!
