I am joining “Not Your Average Crazy” this May for the May is for Moms link up! She made up 3 sets of questions for moms and the first week is: An Interview with Myself!
1. Before you ever even had children, how did you feel about being a mother?
Growing up I always knew I wanted to have kids. I never really thought about the “being a mother” part of it, just the part of actually having a baby! When we decided to start I was very excited and a little nervous.

2. Since becoming a mother, what is something that has happened that you never thought would?
Honestly, not much! Babies are gross so I expected the gross things that come along with it, like diaper explosions, runny nose etc. None of that stuff surprises me, although I think some of it did surprise my husband! One thing that really surprised me was how nice so many people were to me! Like when I go to the store they just want to smile at your and look at your baby and even little old ladies would hold the door open for us!

3. Is being a mother less difficult, more difficult or exactly how difficult you imagined?
It is definitely more difficult! I can say that I felt prepared as far as things like how to change a diaper etc but I wasn’t prepared for the emotional roller coaster of it all! I also wasn’t prepared to have to make so many decisions that I had no idea what to do about!

4. What is your fondest memory of being a mother (so far)?
I love every time when he lights up with a smile at me but one of the best was when I picked him up from daycare and he smiled and crawled all the way across the room to me!

5. If your children only learn one life lesson from you, what do you hope it is?
This is a hard question because there are so man things I want him to learn! I hope he learns to be nice and respectful to all people.
