I had a post ready for today about the mother’s day gift Carter and I made for his grandma’s but then I realized my mom would see the post and she hasn’t gotten her present yet! So here’s a little something about our weekend instead…
This weekend was going to be a big one for us! We went to DC on Friday afternoon to visit with some friends and stay overnight through Saturday. We also went to the Museum of Natural History on Saturday. Saturday afternoon we had planned on going to a friend’s baby’s first birthday party but as we were walking around DC we started to realize that Carter was acting kind of sick. He was extra sleepy on Saturday and felt really hot! Since we were out of town we didn’t bring a thermometer (mommy failure?) so we decided to head on home and skip the party since we didn’t want him to get any other babies sick at the party!

On Mother’s Day we planned to go to brunch and a craft show in Philly. We got to brunch and my husband dropped us off at the door and I said will you carry in the diaper bag? And he looked at me all funny and said ummm we forgot to put it in the car! So, we drove all the way into the city for brunch and forgot the diaper bag- BIG mommy and daddy fail! Since Carter was still sick with a fever and we had forgotten the bag we decided to skip the craft show and just go strait home after brunch! Poor guy had a temp of over 102 degrees! He was really good at brunch though and was having a blast playing with the menu and throwing pieces of crepe on the floor! On the way home was a different story…. but we won’t get into that! The title of that story would be “the time we forgot the diaper bag and then got stuck in standstill traffic for over an hour,” you can use your imagination on that one!

For Mother’s Day
daddy Carter made me a photo album with all his pictures! It is really cute! And I am getting a massage, too! I hope everyone had a great weekend and a good Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
