I was thinking about how much Carter and us have changed over the past 9 months! He is so much bigger and so different than the tiny baby we brought home from the hospital! We’re different, too, not as freaked out about every little thing!
Then: Carter was so tiny in the rock’n’play and would just snuggle up and sleep! Now: the thing can’t even contain him, we don’t even use it anymore because he can get out and the seat belt does nothing!
Then: he barely fit in the tub and he screamed every time we gave him a bath! Now: he loves the bath and splashes around. He can sit up like a champ and is starting to try to climb out of it, too! I think very soon I will just have to bath him in the real tub.
Then: Look how tiny he is in the car seat! We had to roll up blankets on either side of his head to keep it in place! Also, we used to obsessively make sure he was properly clothed and covered up! At the hospital they told us he had to wear 2 layers and a blanket to keep warm, even though it was August. Now: He is getting bigger and bigger in the car seat and actually really starting to hate going in it! He does not like being strapped in and not able to move around!
Then: He had a teeny tiny bottle! We did breastfeeding and a 2 ounce formula at every feeding. He is only pretending to hold the bottle in this picture. Now: He has 5-6 bottles a day and can hold it himself, although he prefers if we hold if for him!
Then: All wrapped up in his swaddle wrap! He would sleep with his head to one side only, which created a weird flat spot on the back of his head. (its almost fixed now!) Now: Will only sleep on his stomach with his butt up in the air! When I put him down in the crib he immediately rolls over to this position!
