So, since we are going to Disney in a few weeks while we are down in Florida, I figured it would be good idea to take Carter to a more “tame” amusement park first just to see how he reacts to all the noise, craziness, rides etc! I had a great opportunity this week when my school had a field trip to an amusement park called Knobel’s. It’s basically the regular amusement park stuff (rides, food stands, shows etc) but they also have campgrounds, rental cabins and large covered picnic pavilions.
We took Carter on three rides: the train, the merry-go-round and the kiddie race cars. He sat in my lap on the rides and really seemed to like them…for the most part!
Here we are on the merry-go-round. After I took this picture he started looking around and smiling (go figure!) and loved it when Kay (who is behind us in the pic!) was making silly faces at him! He started laughing and bouncing up and down!
Carter really loved the train ride and after awhile was leaning against the side with his arm over just relaxing…
…that is, until we went though the dark tunnel! He did NOT like the tunnel whatsoever, as you can tell from this picture!
Thankfully, none of the rides we will go on at Disney will have dark tunnels like this train ride did, so we should be okay!
Did you take your kids to any amusement parks when they were little? Did they like the rides, or were they scared?
