Beauty Box Five is a subscription box service in which you receive 4-5 make up samples in your beauty box each month! The boxes are filled with beauty products from makeup to nail care to hair products and more. They use all kinds of brands from well known to smaller brands. I was sent a Beauty Box 5 to review this month and it was great! Here is what I got:
1. Model Co Illusion Lip Enhancer Kit: I liked this lip liner because it was a nice neutral color so you could wear it with any lip color! I don’t wear lipstick a lot, but I do have tiny lips so lip enhancer will definitely help me there!
2. Blinc Mascara: Okay I’ll just say it, this mascara was kind of weird! It goes on like regular mascara but instead of just coating your eyelashes it make little “mascara tubes” around the lashes. I thought the mascara went on kind of skimpy and I had to use many coats to even look like I had any mascara on. After it dried it did feel weird to the touch, but definitely not flaky like some mascara can be. It was also really hard to get off! I had to rub really hard with soapy water on a washcloth before it even start to come off. However, you could see the little tubes, as promised on the packaging!
3. Brazen eyeshadow in “Birthday Suit”: This eyeshadow was really nice! It is a loose powder but went on very smooth and blended well on my eyelids. The color I received was called birthday suit, which was ironic because when I blended it in you pretty much couldn’t see it anymore, except for a faint shimmer, it was so close to my eyelid color! I think the brand is good, but I would have liked to try a brighter color.
4. Bodyography Foundation Primer: I don’t wear foundation, so I didn’t have any to try this out with! I will probably just give it to my friend.
5. Jean Pierre Cosmetics Oil-Absorbing Facial Tissues: These are great for the summer & the packaging is a perfect size to slip into a purse! When I tried these out they worked really well getting oil off my face!
Overall I liked my Beauty Box Five! I liked the idea of trying out cosmetics products from brands I had never heard of before or had never tried before. I also liked that all the samples were of “real” things that I could use on a daily basis. Another perk is that when you subscribe for more than a month you get a discount, so it’s cheaper per month the more you get!
Be sure to check them out and get your Beauty Box 5 today!
