The title of this post really describes the past few weeks! School started back up again and it has been oh-so-stressful for me. Back to school time really is the most stressful time for teachers, in my opinion. My experiment of having Carter home with me while working was a big failure so I decided it would be better and more fair to him to have him in daycare. It’s just too hard to give him the attention he deserves while trying to give attention to work as well.
Here are some other randoms from this past few weeks!
“Hey mommy stop working and come relax with me and Rocky!”
I took this picture while Carter was home with me one day while I was working. He mostly cried the whole time because I was teaching class and not playing with him 🙁
“Don’t worry mom, I’ll walk the dog for you!”
Carter loves getting out of the stroller in the dog walk area and running after Rocky! Although when other dogs are there we do have to pick him up, just in case!
Over the weekend Carter was very serious about learning how to use the play station controller from daddy!
I tried these at the grocery store (my husband says that’s stealing but I don’t think so!) and they were so good! Yes, they do taste like cotton candy! They look and smell like regular grapes, though! My husband thinks they’re pretty gross, but I like them! I think they should make a wine out of them- cotton candy wine anyone? (and yes I did buy them so it wasn’t really stealing!)
This was Carter’s lunch for daycare yesterday. I take these pictures kind of sarcastically because I feel like there are so many pinterest and blog post out there with kids lunches that are just SO over the top. I mean, honestly, who has time to cut their kids fruit into little hearts or stars? Ain’t nobody got time for that! Here he has cut up kiwi, turkey shredded by the deli people and butternut squash. I buy the frozen veggies and cook & cut the whole bag at the beginning of the week so it’s ready to go! I was pleasantly surprised to find this brand was already pre-cut into tiny cubes! Working mom win! And THAT’S a lunch you can pin!
Relaxing after a busy week. Carter fell asleep in the car on the way home from daycare (its 5 minutes away from our house) and then slept on my shoulder on the couch for about 45 minutes before dinner! He has such a hard time napping at daycare for some reason. He was napping really good at home, about 3 hours a day over 2 naps, and then when he started daycare he only naps 20 – 30 minutes with them! Anyone else have this issue or is it just us?
And that’s some random things that have been going on with us!
