So this post is a little late, considering we went to this car show about a month ago, but hey that’s just how it happens sometimes!
This car show, one of many that we have gone to over the years, but this one was different because it was what I would call “fancy.” Most car shows are in convention centers, or city parks or church parking lots, that sort of thing. But this one was at a Hunt Club. If you don’t know, that’s an old school club similar to a Country Club, were people meet for fox hunting. They don’t actually hunt the foxes anymore, but the clubs still exists for horse shows and races and such. Basically, a fancy horse farm with a country club. Anyway, the car show has some really rare and high end cars, and some really old and rare cars.
In the welcome tent they had Porsche’s you could sit in, which was nice, and they gave me a booklet about the Porsche that was thicker than the program for the show!
I also got to take my picture with Thor!
I wore shorts and a tee shirt to this fancy car show. I mean c’mon it was at a horse farm and it was about 85 degrees outside! I say this because there was a woman there who thought it was a good idea to comment about my outfit to her daughters and saying she “wished people would dress up to go out of the house more often these days.” Well lady, you try carrying a 1 year old with a runny nose around in 85 degree weather in your taffeta and silk dress. That’s all I have to say about that!
Carter got to sit in a Formula 1 car, which was a smaller version of the race car that is used for training. It also matched the shirt he had on that day, since it has a Formula 1 type of car on it! Carter loves standing in cars at the steering wheel and “driving!”
Carter is not such a fan of the “selfie.” Or maybe he was just hot and ready to go!
Daddy and Carter got a good picture!
I think we are up to about 15 car shows for Carter so far, and thats just in his first year!
