Well, as you read a few days ago, we just bought a new house! We haven’t moved in yet, that’s this weekend, but before we do there is some work to be done! I’m going to share some “before” pictures today and then later once we have updated the paint and such I’ll share the “after” photos!
Welcome to our new house!
This is the living room “before” picture. We love the windows and the fact it has a fireplace! But we hate the wallpaper so that’s been torn down and we are repainting the whole room! We were going to paint the trim white, but we decided to keep the wood for now!
Here is Cater’s room! We took down all the decals and wallpaper and repainted the room green (as seen in yesterdays post). I will do more photos later once we get all the furniture and decorations up! I also need to fix that big hole in the left wall where the cable wires are, as we aren’t doing cable upstairs anyways!
This is the dining room on the right! We are going to paint the walls a deep grey color. It’s kind of hard to explain- you’ll just have to wait for the “after” photos!
This is the master bedroom! Thankfully the only wall paper is here was the flower trim- the rest of the red wall is just paint! We are painting over the whole wall with a really nice light color and painting all the trim white! We are also getting new carpets- yay!
Last before shot for this post is the stair wall. The stairs are nice wood but the wall was covered in this blue wallpaper, floor to ceiling! Well, that’s all gone now and we are painting over it with a nice light tan color! It took a lot of tricky and possibly dangerous ladder work to get that wall paper down!
Not pictured:
-The guest room- it’s white and the carpet is new so we’re going to leave it alone for now!
-The Kitchen- we will repaint the walls to a more neutral color (they are teal now with rose wall paper) but we aren’t up for a big kitchen redo at this point in time
-Basement- its a finished basement with a nice big room! It’s white and we are getting new carpet down there and repainting it white to brighten up the existing paint.
Basically we deemed those rooms “good enough for now” and might go back to them later to fix them up! But for now, they are fine.
Can’t wait to show off my “after” pictures!
