Last weekend we took Carter to the Please Touch Museum in Philly! The museum is specifically for children and has a ton of different things to do that they can play with and “touch.” Carter loved the museum and I know as he gets older he will find even more things to do and enjoy there!
As soon as we walked in he immediately ran over to the water play area!
I love the bibs they provide so the kids clothes wont get (as) wet! Carter absolutely loved the water play area, we had to drag him away from it! But he hated the hand dryers!
The museum also has several areas for kids under 3 only, which is really nice! They are less crowded than the main areas and the activities are geared towards their level and height!
Carter invents his own way of going down the slide…
Carter really loved the “air” area, because it had several activities involving handles and wheels to turn. In this one you push the handle up and down to create air movement, which moves the feathers around inside the tube. There were 3 of these grouped together and Carter kept running between them doing each one in turn!
Carter and Pop playing in the space shuttle area! They are counting down for liftoff!
In one of the 3 and under areas they had a play house with a kitchen inside (there is a big kid kitchen area in another part of the museum as well). Carter is a big fan of playing “kitchen!”
Overall we thought the Please Touch museum was great and decided to go ahead and buy a membership! We could apply our tickets from that day towards the membership so it was definitely worth it! We’ve already been back once since then and there will be plenty of opportunities to go again over the next year!
What kind of memberships do you have for kids activities?
This month’s super sponsor:
I've heard of this place and always wondered if it was as awesome as it sounds. Definitely adding this to the list of places to go when I have kids!
My kids love Please Touch! I'm a little sad that some of them are getting a little old for the museum.
We were there about a month ago. It was actually my daughter's second time. My kiddos (6 & almost 8) had a blast. I love how there's stuff for kids of varying ages. That way they're always discovering something new as they get older! I think my kiddos' favorite area was the water play area too. So much fun!
It looks like he had a lot of fun! When I was in Philly last year, I almost went there, but I don't have any children and I thought it would look funny, haha. I can't wait to have kids so I can properly visit the Please Touch Museum!
Oh I love the PTM! There are so many things there for different ages, it's nice when you have a family and it can cater to all of them!
I've been told to go there (myself, as an adult) because it's awesome even without kids lol
It looks like he had a great time!
I have heard amazing things about this place! I am a germaphobe though and have never taken the kids. Horrible mom, right?
I've never been, but have considered it for my LO when we visit family. Good to know there is an under 3 area, since my biggest concern last year was that he would be trampled by other kids. Maybe this year.
Very cool! I've heard of this museum before and I definitely want to plan a trip to take my daughter there. My husband and I used to do weekends in Philly before she was born. Have to do that again!
This place sounds amazing! I'm glad they have museums like this for kids because it starts them early with wanting to explore and visit "real museums" when they're older. I remember looooving the Children's Museum in Pittsburgh and Carnegie Science Center when I was younger!

Aww I went there as a kid! I only vaguely remember it, but I'm sure it was a lot of fun 🙂
So fun! We have a great Children's Museum in Providence, RI but this place looks amazing for little ones!
Looks really fun for the little ones!
