I am continuing on with our Easter Activities today with two “DIT” activities! These activities are do-it-together because they involve glue and scissors, two things I obviously don’t need my 20 month old playing with!
First up is our super easy Easter garland.
This activity is good for all ages and can be modified pretty easy to suit your specific needs! To start off, print out your coloring pages! I found these egg coloring pages on google pictures and printed out two for this activity. I actually spent a lot of time trying to make my own, but they just didn’t look as nice as these!
Step 2 is the kids job- color away! It doesn’t matter if he stays in the lines because you will be cutting out the eggs anyway! We used Crayola “pixie dust” crayons which I bought on sale at Target! They had great Easter colors- pastels with shimmer and sparkle in them!
Step 3- All done coloring, time to cut the eggs out!
Ready to hang!
Tape your cut out eggs to a ribbon and hang it up! Be sure to leave room on each side to hang it! I knotted the ends of my ribbon around nails that were in the window frame already
The finished product! As you can tell, the dining room windows are basically our kid art gallery!
Our second do-it-together activity was our fuzzy bunny tot tray!
I set up the tot tray by printing out the bunny outline, drawing the face on with markers and setting everything out on the tray to be ready when Carter got up from his nap!
Step 2- spread the glue all over the bunny! I did this myself but if you want you can have your kid help!
Step 3: Stick the cotton balls all over the bunny! I showed Carter how to do it first and then encouraged him to try it himself. He did some and then handed me some to do, so we took turns.
Finished bunny!
Bunny hanging on our art gallery window!
Hoppy Easter!
Here is how long each of these activities took:
Easter Egg garland: This activity took a few short (10 minutes or so) coloring times over the course of a few days. Carter can only sit and color for just so long before he gets bored and tries to eat the crayons!
Fuzzy Bunny Tot Tray: About 10-15 minutes
