Are you done laughing at my title yet? Good! Because it IS possible to hit up Disney with all the Grandparents AND keep everyone happy!
Happy kid in his stroller at Disney! |
We had such a fun time at Magic Kingdom a few weeks ago! My mom came as well as my in-laws! My dad doesn’t like crowds, so he sat this one out.
As a general rule for visiting Disney with both grandparents, be sure to let them take turns sitting with the Grand-kid on the rides! Unless your kid will only sit with mom/dad, of course! Otherwise, let each grandparents take turns on the rides and then everyone gets to sit with him equally!

Don’t forget to take advantage of “grandparent power.” See, going to Disney with just the parents is actually more stressful than with the grandparents! Grandparents can take turns holding the kid in the line, sharing food etc! When you’re chasing your toddler through the crowds at Disney, it’s time to harness the Grandparent power!
The first time I took Carter to Disney, we skipped the Winnie-the-Pooh ride. But, if you have younger kids definitely go on this one! If not for the ride, for the line! The line for this ride is very interactive and Carter loved doing all the activities! On the left he is playing with the bees you could slide along the bars. In the right picture he is playing with the gopher pop ups! You stomp on the circles in the group and they popped up. There was also a touch wall that looked like dripping honey and a playhouse! Now, the ride itself might be a little scary for the tots, because there are some dark areas and some strange things going on, but if you need a break from the sun you could just go play with the stuff in line!
Don’t forget a mid afternoon treat! I love the orange-vanilla swirl ice cream, which is right behind the Aladdin ride and next to the Tikki Room. Close by is the ever-famous Dole Whip stand as well! Carter seemed to think this treat was solely for him and ended up stealing mine!

Overall a great Disney visit with the grandparents! Next time we go, I think I’ll take him to Animal Kingdom for something different!
Soon I’ll post my tips for visiting Disney with tots and my tips for a super cheap Disney experience!
