There are so many photos I could share with you guys from our trip but I’ll try to keep it down to a few! Last week I shared about our fun road trip down to Myrtle Beach. We actually went to North Myrtle Beach which was very nice! Our condo was right on the beach and had a really nice pool, hot tub and and even a lazy river to float around in! We could walk right down to the beach from the pool area. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best the first couple of days we were there, so we ended up doing a few things around the area on those days instead of hitting the beach first!
The first day we went down to the boardwalk and walked around. We decided to take Carter up into the Sky Wheel, which is basically a huge Ferris wheel with glass rooms you sit in! There were some great views of the beach from up there and Carter loved it!
We also stopped in the arcade on the boardwalk and Carter learned how to play skeeball with Nana and Papa! The next day we went to the Ripley’s aquarium, which was actually pretty good! They have a moving walkway through the shark tunnel, a touch tank and plenty of different fish to check out. After that we walked around the shopping and dining area near the aquarium, which also had plenty of entertainment for a cloudy day! We fed the fish and ducks, did a little shopping and watched the speedboats fly around the lake.
The rest of the trip the weather was super nice so we got to spend a ton of time on the beach and in the pool! Carter absolutely loves the beach! We made sand castles, dug many holes, caught sand fleas and crabs. Carter loved going in the ocean and jumping in the waves. We even let him ride on the boogie board in the shallow waves which was one of his favorite activities!
Building sandcastles with Nana!
Carter also enjoyed being buried in the sand. I thought he wouldn’t like it or would be scared, but he wanted to do it over and over again! We had a great trip and we learned that Carter really loves everything about the beach and will not hesitate to walk strait into the pool!
Have you ever been to Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach? What’s your favorite spot?
This month’s super sponsor:
This looks like a fantastic and fun beach vaca!
I'm 44 and I've been to MB nearly every year of my life. Some I've gone twice, so you can do the math. 🙂 I love it and now my son who is 5 loves it! The beaches, restaurants, attractions, and memories make it my absolute favorite. I've stayed from 13th Ave in N. Myrtle down to Surfside. I think my favorite location is Sea Watch Resort next to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. My parents keep their camper there. So glad you had a great time.
We go every summer! I live in NC so its only 4 and 1/2 hours from my home. Great times!
LOL, we were in North Myrtle Beach at the same time and, from the sounds of it, the same place! Did yours water slides for the kiddos? We had so much fun, glad to hear that you did too 🙂
