On Sunday my son woke up after 9:00 am, which can only mean one thing- he’s sick. He had a fever, a sad face and you could just tell it from his eyes. There is just something extra sad when your kid is sick, especially when they don’t have all the words to tell you what’s wrong. On the other hand, it’s the perfect time to curl up on the couch together with a popsicle and watch a movie or two on your tablet. A toddler sick day is a great time to explore a new movie together or revisit an old favorite.
Here are some of my picks for a toddler sick day from Netflix Streaming.
1. Turbo – This movie looks so cute, and I can’t wait to watch it with my son! In this cartoon, a snail who is obsessed with speed and wants to be a race car driver gets his chance!
2. Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest – Halloween is over, but this movie was one of my son’s favorites on TV recently! We watched it several times during the week of Halloween! In this movie George and his pals investigate a hat stealing scarecrow and have lots of other Halloween fun!
3. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally – We love anything to do with cars in this house and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a favorite, too! My son loves to shout “oh Toodles!!” along with the gang! In this episode Mickey and pals drive across deserts, mountains and jungles in a thrilling race!
4. Alpha and Omega 3: The Great Wolf Games – My son also loves dogs (and cats) and will point them out on any sort of media. I know he would love this movie about the racing wolf buddies!
Have you seen any of these? If so, which one was your kids favorite?
Oh, and by the way! Don’t forget to catch up on the Hunger Games before the third movie comes out in theaters this Friday! You can watch the second movie in the series, Catching Fire, on Netflex Steaming!
