Cozy Christmas Eve Outfit!

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite holiday traditions!  Every year we have a nice Christmas eve dinner with beef tenderloin, many delicious sides and of course biscuit tortoni for dessert!  Everyone hangs out and relaxes and we have a small gift exchange- each person in the extended family buys a gift for another person so we all get one gift on Christmas Eve!

And of course there’s always the internal debate- what to wear?  Go formal with a nice dress, tights and dressy jewelery?  Or go casual with jeans and a red or green shirt?  This year I think I’ll go somewhere in the middle, which I’m going to call Christmas Eve Cozy!

Cozy Christmas Eve

Jeans and a cozy embellished sweater should do the trick!  I love the jeweled shoulder embellishments on this JCrew sweater- the perfect pop of sparkle for a casual Christmas Eve.  Add a super fuzzy scarf to keep extra warm!  This one is bit out of budget, but it sure is pretty with this outfit!  I would bring a little color to the outfit with some bright red earrings (Kate Spade) and these checkered loafers from JCrew– I am obsessed with these shoes right now and all the different colors they have!

You can see all the outfit details for this outfit on my polyvore page, as well as other past outfit creations!

What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

I love this outfit idea, Rachel. The sweater is simple with just enough embellishment to make it perfect for the holidays!

Since we go to church on Christmas Eve, we always do the dressy stuff then and then casual on Christmas Day, so this would be a great December 25th outfit for me 🙂 I just LOVE that sweater and those shoes!!!

Your Christmas Eve dinner sounds delicious. 😄 And that outfit is the type of thing I'd wear, too. A cute, glam sweater with comfy jeans. I real like it. Except I'd wear boots. I wear nothing but boots all winter. 🙂

This is a perfect Christmas Eve outfit, you could even be baking cookies in the morning in it. I really love how the shoulders are embellished, so you still see the crystals with the scarf on… love the berry colors, too!! Cute!
