A lot of years we spend Christmas at my parents house, but this year everyone came to us! We started off with a delicious dinner on Christmas Eve! Carter loved the appetizers, especially the cheese and olives- that kid loves olives!
Christmas Eve appetizer spread! We had to have a few snacks while we waited for my sister and brother-in-law to drive in from New York.
We put out all the presents on Christmas Eve (otherwise Carter would try all month to open them!) and he was so excited to see everything when we came downstairs in the morning! He had several presents from Santa and us and many more from my parents. He absolutely loved the cutting up fruit from Santa!
My favorite picture my mom took!
Carter made sure everyone knew which presents were theres and offered plenty of help opening them! We let him hand the gifts out to everyone one at a time.
After a big brunch we opened our stockings! Every year we each fill a stocking for one other person in the family so each year your stocking comes from a different person in the family. Carter’s stocking is from Santa of course! He loved his flashlights and candy in his stocking, although he’s already lost one of the flashlights from the pack!
The next day we headed out to the Yards brewery in Philly for some beer tasting and had lunch at a really great pizza place in Fishtown. Later that day we hit up the bowling ally, where Carter tried bowling for the first time and loved it! Oh, and I kicked everyone’s butts, but who’s counting? They had a special ramp for toddlers to just push the ball down and then it slowly makes its way down the ally. Carter loved it and jumped and cheered every time he hit a pin! He even had a strike!
We had a great Christmas holiday and a fun time with family!
