When my husband started his goal of eating healthier a few years ago, he said one of the things that often interfered with eating healthy was snacking. Being at an office where people put out cookies, candy and other goodies to share, it can be easy to just grab one as you walk by and snack all day. But, the same is true if you work from home, too! That’s why it’s important to always have some easy, healthy snacks on hand. Healthy snacks should be easy to grab so you don’t gravitate towards something else!
The other day I really really wanted a cookie or a piece of candy. I was searching high and low for the perfect snack to curb my craving and then I noticed our bowl of fruit. I chose an apple instead of a cookie and I was so proud of myself! And guess what? My craving was satisfied, too. Having some fruit on hand is a great healthy snack!
I’ve also gathered together some fun healthy snack recipes to try out! You can make these ahead of time and have them ready to go when that snack craving hits! I think a lot of these are snacks that kids would enjoy as well.
