My son has been waiting to use these candy eyeballs for months and he finally got the chance! These mummy cupcakes are easy to make so they are great for a Halloween party because you can make a lot at once without too much effort! Plus my son had a lot of fun decorating them with the candy eyes!
Mix together your favorite chocolate cupcakes. We used a box mix, but if you have a special homemade recipe you love, go for it!
After the cupcakes have fully cooled, decorate with white icing and candy eyeballs. Do the icing in strips to make the mummy wrappings and then stick the eyeballs on. As you can tell from the photos, we used two kinds of icing. I bought some pre-made icing in a package, but it was very thick and hard for Carter to squeeze out. So, I made some thinner icing with powder sugar and milk. It wasn’t as bright white, but it taste just as good!
Carter loved his mummy cupcakes!
Enjoy!
