This month’s Photo Blogging Challenge theme was water, and it was pretty easy to complete this challenge! It seems everywhere we go there are lakes and rivers just waiting to have their photo taken! These photos are each from different places we happened to find ourselves in October.
This one is my favorite so I decided to put it first! This is Loch Lomond in Scotland’s Trossachs National Park. In October we took a week during fall break and went to the UK for a vacation! The last leg of our trip was to Scotland where we did a day tour to Stirling Castle and the highlands.
This is also from our Scotland tour! This is Forth Bridge, which crosses the estuary connecting the North Sea with the inland rivers.
On our UK trip we also went to London and took a boat tour on the River Thames! This is a view from the boat heading southwest. On the left is the London Eye and on the right you can see Big Ben, both behind the Golden Jubilee Bridges.
Right before our UK trip we went to Munich, where my husband ran the Munich Marathon! While he was running I took Carter exploring and we visited the Deutsche Museum (German science and technology museum- I highly recommend it!). This shot is of the Isar River going through Munich.
This last photo is a little closer to home! Last weekend we went to the fall festival in Basel, which is a really cute city! It was our first time visiting Basel and I’m sure we’ll head back sometime to see more of the city. The fall festival in Basel is a tradition that’s been going on for over 540 years! This shot is of the Rhine River, which runs through Basel.
