This week for Mini Chef Mondays we created a fun and easy snack (or dessert) which you only need three ingredients to make! Banana and chocolate together has always seemed like an odd combination to me but I know a lot of people like it so I decided to try to it with my mini chef! Our banana bites turned out to be a hit!
First you add the chocolate and peanut butter to a microwave safe bowl and microwave on 30 second intervals until the chocolate is melted.
Stir together the chocolate and peanut butter until smooth.
Cut up the bananas and then dip each slice into the chocolate mixture. You can use your hands, or, if it’s too hot, use a fork to dip each one! Place on a plate or sheet of parchment paper and transfer to the fridge to set. Let them set in the fridge 20-30 minutes (minimum) and then enjoy!

Good thing I’m not bananas for bananas, but I wouldn’t mind that chocolate/peanut cover! Did I tell you I forced some low carb upon me?
Love Carter’s sweater, it looks very comfy and warm!
You can try it with strawberries then! I don’t think chocolate has any carbs 😉
Wow, looks tasty! What kind of chocolate would you recommend?
We just used store brand (coop) milk chocolate. But it would work with whatever your favorite is!
Oh yum, these look so easy and so delicious. Perfect for me to eat while binge watching Netflix. Do you make your own peanut butter or what kind do you recommend?
I don’t make it I buy the one with the American flag on it at coop or the store brand Migros. The Migros one tends to be a little oily though so you have to mix it every time.
Omg I want those for breakfast NOW!
Do it!!
So simple, so fun! Now to run to the store for more bananas. All mine went into our smoothies.
Yum! We love smoothies around here too!!
These look delicious. I have one kid who likes bananas and one who freaks out if she sees a banana peel. She can smell them from a mile away and gags. So we will be passing on this one, but maybe one day she’ll turn around! I just love how your little one is so involved in the kitchen.
Thanks Tara! Maybe you can hide the banana under the chocolate?! Haha
I love this idea, it looks perfect for my 3 year old to try on his own, sounds yum too. With the 2 week sport ferien, I’m looking for things to keep him engaged. Great idea Rachel!
Thanks! I have a lot of indoor kids ideas as well just search under kids activities in the menu!
Mm these look delicious and so easy to make!
Thanks!
Yum! Maybe I’ll surprise G with these for a snack one day this week!
Awesome!
My kids would love this for sure!
Good to hear!
