It’s finally here- the last day of school! We had a lot of snow days this year, so school lasted over a week after it was originally supposed to end. For many of my friends in other states school ended for their kids weeks ago! And now we have seemingly endless amounts of time for summer fun! Of course we do have some travel and family visits planned for this summer, but there are plenty of open days between. And as we all know, those days need to be filled or everyone will lose their minds!
So I created “summer fun” coupons perfect for those times when my son decides he is “bored” (Usually about 5 minutes after we get home from a fun, kid friendly activity!). Of course we will first go through a checklist of daily activities to try such as playing with toys, coloring, playing outside, video game time and doing his summer workbook pages! Then we can use these coupons every so often to fill in the blanks!
I made the coupons with activities we could do at home in mind, either inside or outside. I only included one “outing” type of activity on my coupons because I think of these as extra fun things to do if he can’t come up with his own ideas. Or we might just pull one per day out of a hat and see what happens! We’ll see what works best! Most of the activities take very little prep work, besides the ice ones, which have to be prepared the night before.
Kids can do most of these alone as well! A few of the activities will need special supplies, such as the bath bombs. At the bottom of the post I’ve linked a few other post which can help you prepare for some of the activities, or you can look them up on Pinterest!
I’ve also created a checklist with all 30 activities so if you prefer to check them off you can print this out, too! My plan is to use the coupons and cut them out and let him pick one out when he is bored, or one a day when we are in town. You can also use both printables together! There are 30 summer fun activities, plus a bonus “extra bored” page with some chores. Use that as you see fit! The nice thing about the coupons is that you can cut them out and toss the ones that don’t work for your family or you know you won’t be able to do, and keep the ones that do!
