Last week Riley turned five months old! She is up to about 16 pounds when I weighed her at home. At six months she’ll go in for another check up so we’ll get a more official weight and height for next month.
Baby’s Firsts
This month Riley has her first roll overs, some on purpose and some not! She also started moving around more and scooting herself off her playmat while laying on her back. She could almost roll over and push herself up, but more often it seemed like the rolling over was a surprise so she didn’t do much else.
This month we also started trying baby food with her! We started with pears and peaches. The first time she obviously didn’t know what to do so that was kind of a flop. A week later we tried again and this time she kind of seemed to realize it was something to eat! We’ve tried it a few more times since then and each time she seems to get it a little more, once she even ate a whole container of step 1 food! We also did baby rice cereal, but that was a big flop. I can’t imagine it taste very good, so it’s not super enticing.
Baby’s Adventures
This month we took a little day trip to Newport, RI. We hit up the car museum outside of town, had lunch downtown and walked around a little. She’ll have to get used to car museums and shows because we do those a lot! Carter had his first car show at about 4 weeks old so she’s a little behind her brother in that department!
Otherwise we’ve just been busy doing stuff around town, meeting up with friends and taking brother to all his many after school activities!
Happy 5 Months!
