Ghost S’mores!

I made these ghost s’mores as a cute Halloween themed treat for our Girls-Night-In last week and they were a hit!  They are so easy to make as a last minute Halloween treat and more sweet than scary!  Perfect for a kids Halloween party, Halloween night dessert or just for anyone who enjoys s’mores!

Ghost S’mores Recipe

What you need:

  • Graham crackers
  • marshmallow fluff
  • marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Food Writer markers: I use Wilton Food Writer Edible Color Markers
What to do:
Step 1: Make the ganache.  In the top of a double boiler* combine the chocolate chips and cream.  Add a small dash of vanilla if the mood strikes you.  Stir until chips are fully melted and combined.  Funnel the ganache into a plastic squeeze bottle and allow it to cool a little bit.
*if you don’t have a double boiler you can create one by placing a metal bowl on top of a pot with a little bit of water in it.  Bring the water to boil and the steam heats up the base of the bowl and melts the chocolate.  This process helps cook the chocolate better so it doesn’t burn!
**if you’re not feeling it, you can also do this in the microwave on 30 second intervals until melted and combined.

STEP 2:  While the ganache cools a little, set out your graham crackers on a piece of wax paper or parchment paper.  I made 8, but you could make about double that with this amount of chocolate.  Draw the ghost faces on your marshmallows.

STEP 3: In a pattern of your choice, squirt the chocolate ganache onto your graham crackers.

Oh, and make sure you’re lid is on super tight or you will end up with an “oops” like this!

STEP 4: Dot a spoonful of marshmallow fluff onto each.  Then add the ghost, pressing gently into the fluff so it sticks.  Serve immediately or keep covered for a few days.  Just keep in mind that if you don’t serve soon the ghost might tip over a little as they settle further into the marshmallow fluff!

Boo!  One for you!

Enjoy!
