Shamrock Shakes are a popular treat in March and gave me the inspiration for these shots. If you’re a fan of shamrock shakes then these pudding shots are for you! I made these as a St. Patrick’s Day treat, but you can really make them any time of year if you’re a mint lover! Although I usually post jello shots, pudding shots are a fun twist that let us explore some different flavors that don’t “go” as well in jello shot form.
For these shots I used teal food coloring to give them the green color. Vanilla pudding mix is the base, and since it’s kind of a yellow color I thought it would balance out the blue notes in the teal food coloring. You can also use green (obviously) but I was out, so there you have it!
Pudding shots are quick and easy to make! It takes about 10 minutes total from start to being able to eat them, so they make a perfect last minute party recipe. You can whip these up right before your guest come over to give your St. Patrick’s Day party a little something extra. You can also make them kid friendly by simply replacing the alcohol with extra milk!
Tip: Wait to decorate until you’re ready to serve the shots, otherwise the whipped cream will start to get mushy!
If you leave these too long in the fridge the mint will start to separate out. I'd recommend making and serving them the same day for best results.Shamrock Shake Pudding Shots
