Spooky Spaghetti Spiders

spooky-spaghetti-spiders

Halloween is just about a month away so it’s time to get in the Halloween spirit with some spooky foods! This week we made Spooky Spaghetti Spiders, which were easy to make and so much fun to eat! I tried to find black squid ink pasta to make the spiders even spookier, but I was out of luck! If you can find it, then you can make these spiders with spooky legs! Squid ink pasta is naturally black in color using the ink as a natural food dye. Instead I just used regular whole wheat pasta.

All you need is pasta and hot dogs! You can use whatever types of each that you prefer. Whole wheat pasta, regular pasta, plain hot dogs, all beef hot dogs- the choices are yours!

To make the spooky spiders- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cut your hot dogs into slices then stick 4 thin spaghetti noodles through each one to make 8 legs per spider. Cook in boiling water until pasta is cooked through. Serve with ketchup!

Enjoy!

❤️1 cup water
❤️1 box peach jello
❤️1 cup Vodka
❤️12 boozy heart gummies (use recipe from my other video but don’t add the cherries)
❤️12 plastic shot cups

Bring 1 cup water to boil. Mix boiling water with peach jello and stir until dissolved. Stir in 1 cup vodka. Divide mixture into shot cups, but only fill each about 1/3 of the way. Place shots in the fridge to set about 30-45 minutes, then add boozy gummies to each. Top with the rest of your jello mixture. Transfer to fridge to set all the way.

Serve and enjoy!

❤️1/2 cup water
❤️1 box cherry jello
❤️1 packet Knox unflavored gelatin
❤️24 maraschino cherries
❤️1/2 cup vodka
❤️2 trays heart shaped candy mold
❤️cooking spray

In a small sauce pan mix together cherry jello and Knox gelatin. Add 1/2 cup water and stir it in. Heat mixture to just boiling, stirring often to make sure all gelatins dissolve. Add this mixture to 1/2 cup vodka and stir. Prepare heart molds by lightly spraying with cooking spray. (I like to wipe off the excess with a paper towel) Place a cherry in each heart and then fill with shot mixture. You may have a little leftover to make a few extra, depending on what size your candy molds are!

Set in fridge, about four hours. Serve and enjoy!
