Epcot is my favorite Disney park and one of the things I love about it is all the fun festivals! Most recently I hit up the Flower and Garden festival and sampled some of the food and drinks that are unique to this festival. Don’t you just love checking out all the different kiosks at Epcot during the festivals?! I had never been to the Flower and Garden festival before so I was pleasantly surprised.
One of the stand outs for me was the Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy. I can’t wait to grab another one of these next time I go back! Until then, I realized hey maybe I can make this at home? So I did a little experiment to try it out and it was a success!
This is my copy cat version of the Sunshine Orange Wine Slushy! It turned out delicious! Too bad I don’t have copy cat flower and garden decor!
This recipe is super simple and you really only need two ingredients. If you like a very sweet drink you could add a third ingredient and throw a splash of simple syrup in there when you blend it up. For the wine you can use any white wine you’d like, but I’d probably keep it on the crisp and sweeter side. Orange juice has a lot of sugar but the flavor isn’t super sweet when mixed with the wine! I used Sauvignon Blanc and it really fit well with the orange juice flavor. I would recommend that or Pinot Grigio or Riesling. Any white wine that has citrus notes would be great, too! (I would avoid Chardonnay, but I usually avoid it anyways!)
