Orange Creamsicle Jello Shots

I usually come up with all my shot ideas myself but this one I have to give a little shout out to my best friend for! She offered up the idea for an orange creamsicle shot and I knew I had to take it and run with it. This shot is just the right blend of creamy and orange! You can take it over the top by finishing it off with a little whipped cream right before serving.

Tips for jello shots with dairy

For creamy jello shots that use milk based ingredients you have to make sure to get the temperature just right. The trick is to make the shot without the dairy and then allow it to cool to room temperature before adding that final ingredient. In this case, it’s sweetened condensed milk. After adding the dairy be sure to stir it really well so it’s fully mixed into the shot mixture!

Ingredients

• 1 3 oz box orange jello
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup whipped cream vodka
• 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
• optional: whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, then mix boiling water with orange jello. Stir well until jello is fully dissolved.
2. Stir in one cup of whipped cream vodka.
3. Allow mixture to sit and cool to room temperature on the counter. Do not transfer to fridge yet!*
4. Add sweetened condensed milk to cooled shot mixture and stir well until it's fully mixed in.
5. Dived mixture into 2 ounce shot cups, about 12-14 depending on how full you make them!
6. Transfer to fridge to set, about four hours.
7. Serve and enjoy! If you want to top with whipped cream, wait until right before you serve them to add it!

Notes

Do not skip step 3 or your mixture won't work right. The milk will separate out from the mixture if you add it when it's too hot!
