Mini Chef Monday: Kids Kitchen Safety Tips with Carter

This week for Mini Chef Monday’s we’re doing something a little different!  Instead of a recipe we’re sharing kitchen safety tips for kids that Carter came up with (with a little editing from me)!  I even made a fun printable checklist that you can print out to share with your kids when you are cooking!

Kitchen Safety Tips with Carter:

1. Wash your hands before cooking and after touching raw food.

2. Use oven mitts when touching hot things.

3. Follow the directions of your recipe and from the adults helping you.

4. Only use the knives with your parent’s permission and help!

5. Don’t touch the stove or oven, they might be hot!

6. Only sample the food after it’s done cooking!

These have been Carter’s kitchen safety tips!  What would you add to his tips for safety?
