These champagne cocktail gelatin shots are made with your favorite bubbly and are perfect for New Years Eve or your next fun party!

It’s almost time to ring in the new year! Shots are a staple for any party and especially for a fun bash like New Years Eve! Whether your party is big or small you can always enjoy some champagne gelatin shots. These shots are inspired by my favorite champagne cocktail, a Kir Royale. I love a champagne cocktail with Chambord, they are delicious! For this shot, I used raspberry gelatin for the Chambord flavor and I love the way the layers came out!

Tips for making shots with gelatin
When making layered shots be sure to let the first layer fully set before you add the second layer or they will just melt together. These shots use Knox gelatin for the champagne layer. For the Knox layer make sure to let the gelatin bloom before mixing it all together so that it will set properly. To bloom, sprinkle the gelatin all over the cold liquid.
Make sure all the gelatin powder is touching liquid so it has a chance to absorb and bloom properly. Then, let it sit for a few minutes before mixing in the hot liquid. For this shot the gelatin will look very funny when it’s blooming because it’s reacting with the champagne, but that’s okay! It will all work out in the end and look fine when you mix it together!

How to make Champagne Cocktail Gelatin Shots
Remember that these, and all my shot recipes, are for adults only. 21+ in the United States!
For the alcohol: I used basic cheap bubbly for this recipe. You can use whatever you’d like! I would recommend adding more or less sugar to taste, based on the taste of the champagne you choose. Give it a little try first to see how sweet it is! Leftover champagne can, and should, be used to make regular cocktails. For the vodka I used whipped cream vodka. Vanilla flavored would be nice here as well.
For the shot base: For the first layer I used knox gelatin. One packet equals about 2.5 teaspoons, if you’re measuring from a container. Remember to let it bloom!
For the second layer I used raspberry flavor jello, any brand will do. I think raspberry really goes well with champagne for this recipe, but you could use another flavor if you have it on hand. Strawberry or even peach would both be nice.
Make it pretty: You can add toppings to this shot to fancy it up! Add some whipped cream with sprinkles to give some creaminess. Or, do edible glitter or basic sugar on the rim to make it sparkly.
To make these shots non-alcoholic use sparkling grape juice instead of champagne and sub water for the vodka. As an Amazon Associate and member of other affiliate programs, I earn from qualifying purchases.
