Mummy Tot Tray!

Halloween is getting close, but it’s not too late to fit in a few more fun and easy Halloween crafts with the kids!  Try out these super easy mummies I came up with for a quick last minute activity with your toddler or preschooler!

I wanted to come up with an activity that only used items I already had and was easy to set up.  All you need for this tot tray is construction paper, glue, a marker and toilet paper.

To prepare the tray I cut out people shapes from black construction paper and strips of toilet paper to make our mummies.  I used about 4 squares of toilet paper and just placed them on top of each other so I could cut a bunch at a time!

I set the tray out for Carter and told him it was time for an activity, which he was really excited about!  It was his first time using a glue stick so we spent some time talking about that and I showed him how to use it and how to place the paper on the glue.  We worked together on this activity.  Sometimes he stuck the paper on, and sometimes he showed me where to place it.  He was mostly interested in the glue stick!

After he was done I drew eyes on the mummies with a black marker and hung them on the dining room window (where we usually hang his artwork)!  He proudly showed them off to my friend who came over later that day!

This was a quick activity but fun!

Kicking off pride month with some flag themed shot Kicking off pride month with some flag themed shots! Which pride flag should I do next? Recipe below! #jelloshots #jellyshots #shotsshotsshots
Ingredients:
💙3 cups hot water, divided
💜3 cups vodka of choice, divided
❤️1 3-ounce package of jello in each of these flavors: berry blue, grape & raspberry
💙1 drop Purple food coloring
(This makes about 26-30 shots, depending on how full you make them!)

How to:
💜Boil one cup of water and mix in blue jello until fully dissolved.
❤️ add 1 cup of vodka and one drop of purple food coloring (this gives it the purpley-blue color from the flag)
💙 Divide between shot cups, filling each one 1/3. Transfer to fridge to set several hours until fully set.
💜 After blue is set, repeat each step with purple jello and then with the red once the purple is set (skip the food coloring on these!)

Serve and enjoy!

Bring 1 cup water to boil. Mix boiling water with peach jello and stir until dissolved. Stir in 1 cup vodka. Divide mixture into shot cups, but only fill each about 1/3 of the way. Place shots in the fridge to set about 30-45 minutes, then add boozy gummies to each. Top with the rest of your jello mixture. Transfer to fridge to set all the way.

Serve and enjoy!

❤️1/2 cup water
❤️1 box cherry jello
❤️1 packet Knox unflavored gelatin
❤️24 maraschino cherries
❤️1/2 cup vodka
❤️2 trays heart shaped candy mold
❤️cooking spray

In a small sauce pan mix together cherry jello and Knox gelatin. Add 1/2 cup water and stir it in. Heat mixture to just boiling, stirring often to make sure all gelatins dissolve. Add this mixture to 1/2 cup vodka and stir. Prepare heart molds by lightly spraying with cooking spray. (I like to wipe off the excess with a paper towel) Place a cherry in each heart and then fill with shot mixture. You may have a little leftover to make a few extra, depending on what size your candy molds are!

Set in fridge, about four hours. Serve and enjoy!
