Around here we love doing activities! We have a special tray that my son knows is for activities and he always gets really excited when I set it out to start setting something up. This month we tried out the activities in the M is for Monster preschool in a box subscription box and they were a big hit!
M is for Monster sends out preschool and toddler activity learning boxes each month. The boxes are so organized and include everything you need! And I mean everything- you don’t even have to pull out your own glue! Every week has it’s own envelope with the activities clearly divided inside each one. The directions are clear and easy to follow, and the back of the directions page even includes extended learning activities, such as books to check out for each topic, songs and rhymes.
We went a little out of order and tried the apple activities first! These are the three activities for that week which included: a book about apples, apple counting book with stickers and an apple pie colors and counting page.
Carter did really well matching the pies to the correct color! I just read out the colors to him and he picked up the pie shapes and placed them in the right boxes! Then we worked together to glue the correct number of “ice cream” puffs onto each pie.
We had so much fun, we went a little overboard and did some extra activities! Carter loved using the dot marker, which we were supposed to use to dot the letter “P.” I started by asking him to point out the P’s before I gave him the marker, which he did! But once he had the marker in hand, all bets were off. He kept yelling “P! P!” and just dotting every letter in site. Needless to say, I had to help him find the correct letter several times.
Another pumpkin activity was gluing orange tissue paper onto a paper plate to create a pumpkin. I think this was Carter’s favorite because not only did he get to tear up the tissue paper, I also let him do the glue all over the paper plate.
The M is for Monster preschool box was really fun and educational. Some of the activities were artwork, but many of them are learning letters, numbers, colors and more! My son really enjoyed doing all the activities in the November box! This would be a great gift for a friend with kids, from a Grandparent or even just a fun subscription box to add to your list!
And great news! For the rest of December all my readers can get 25% off your first box using code: holidaycheer. Sign up for your January box with this awesome discount!
