As I pointed out in last week’s first Bargain Hunting post, I am not a person who buys something just because it’s on sale. But who doesn’t love a good deal and saving money? Lately I have been killin’ it with the great finds!
Stop 1: Pier 1 Imports! Ok so this store isn’t really a place you would think to go for bargains, and I didn’t go there with those intentions. I went to buy some candles or decorations for the mantle and along the way I found it! My lamp. The lamp I have been wanting forever!
On sale for HALF off the original price! It’s amazing enough to find such a good deal on a lamp, but this is the exact lamp I have been searching for! They have similar ones at Ikea, but I am so glad I didn’t break down and buy one there because this one is bigger and nicer and a few dollars cheaper than the Ikea ones! Hip Hip Hooray!
My next stop was Homegoods. Oh. my. gosh. I had never been to Homegoods before and I’m sure many of you have, but it’s amazing! They have so much good home decor stuff. I walked in, and within 30 seconds (literally) I saw the vase I have been wanting for our mantle place.
Ta-dumm! (it’s bigger than it looks in this photo) Exactly what I wanted, slightly blue, but not bright blue, glass and tall enough but not huge! And it was only $12! For reference, similar size vases at Target are about $26.
I also picked up this cute little picture frame! Cater loves grabbing it and looking at himself!
Another fun find at Homegoods was this dog toy container! We had Rocky’s toys in a small basket which was always overflowing and messy looking, so I’m really glad I found this one, and it’s big enough to hold all his stuff! ($10)
I also bought a really cute basket for the kitchen for $7 and I found some Melissa and Doug puzzles for Carter for only $6 each! Usually they go for no less than $10, even on Amazon, so I think 40% off is a pretty good find!
Last but not least, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Target again this week! My friend Kim showed me the Cartwheel App and I raked up the coupons I wanted for my trip. I saved $7.68 on my Target trip on Saturday! Woop woop! Kids Chico and Cherekee brand clothes were 20-25% off using the app, plus a lot of the clothes were on sale anyways! So I got some great deals there!
