5 Tips for Having a Relaxing Morning!

Last week I happened to attend a fun demo at Walmart for a new product they are selling- McCafé coffee!  The guy giving the demo, Kevin, was super friendly and engaging in his attempt to get everyone around him to try the coffee and it was really delicious!  I’ve had a hard time branching out from “my” coffee brand in the past, but Kevin convinced me to try McCafé and I was inspired to include it in my daily routine!

I am not one to rush around in the morning, I prefer to take my time and relax.  I think a relaxing morning helps me have a relaxed and stress free day as well, which is very important as a stay at home mom!  A stress free mom (me!) is much better for my son after all!  Here are my tips for having a relaxing morning.

Five tips to start your morning off on a relaxing note!

Tip #1: Prepare for the day the night before!  At night before bed write out your “to do” list for the next day so you’re prepared.  Get everything on the list, even the little things, so you don’t forget.  This also helps me relax for bed and get a better nights sleep since I feel more prepared.  As a bonus, do a quick a tidy up before heading to bed.  After all, who want’s to come downstairs in the morning to a bunch of toys scattered about?!

Tip #2:  Set your alarm 15 minutes early!  Call me crazy on this one, but isn’t it nice to just have a few relaxing moments to yourself in the morning?  Enjoy the peace and quiet of the house before your kids get up and before the hustle of the day starts.  Do some stretches or a short yoga sequence to help you wake up and feel relaxed for the day.

Tip #3:  Relax with a nice cup of coffee!  I am drinking McCafé French Vanilla which I added my favorite vanilla creamer to.  They come in pods and bags, and since I have a reusable pod I bought the bag because all the flavors of pods were sold out at my Walmart!

If French Vanilla isn’t your thing, don’t worry, McCafé comes in 8 flavors!  It’s also a premium quality coffee roasted with 100% Arabica beans, yum!

Tip #4: Take a walk!  Bundle up and head outside, even if it’s just for a few minutes.  The fresh air and sunshine (if it’s out!) will help clear your mind and energize you for the day ahead!

Tip #5: Don’t forget to eat breakfast!  If it helps, prepare you breakfast the night before by cutting up some fruit ahead of time.  Fruit, yogurt and eggs are a favorite around here, but really just remember to eat something in the morning!

I found McCafé pods and bagged coffee on the coffee aisle at Walmart.  As you can see from my photo, the pods were very popular and they only had the Premium Roast flavor at the time!  Walmart also has a special website featuring Kraft brand products and recipe inspiration.  Be sure to check out the Cooking Up Good
website. It has recipes, sweepstakes, loyalty programs, coupons and
more! What’s not to love? If you’re looking for a new dinner idea or a
chance to win some awesome prizes, be sure to check it out!

I hope my tips help you have a more relaxing morning this week!  I’d love to hear how you have a relaxing morning, share your tips in the comments below!
