The restaurant is situated right next to the train tracks, so that if you sit on the top patio you can overlook the trains coming and going. It’s a fun place to hangout when it’s warm and just has a relaxed and fun atmosphere. As you can see, it gets pretty crowded when it’s nice out! It’s self service so you order at the counter and bring your food to the table you pick. I believe the do also have an area set aside for reservations as well.
Frau Gerolds is made up of old shipping containers to make the buildings, which is really unique. There is a beer garden area to sit in and then an upstairs porch area, both of which have bars. They serve bratwursts and seasonal dishes, and also include fresh ingredients from their own garden! They also have plenty of beer and wine options as well as other drinks at the bar.
