How to Make Skeleton on a Gelatin Shots
No bones about it- these shots are super easy to make! You simply follow a basic jello shot recipe and use skeleton themed sprinkles to create your topping. Scroll down for the full recipe!
- For the jello: I suggest using a red jello flavor to go with this shot. You could also use orange or purple, typical halloween colors! I used strawberry but you can also try cherry, red cherry or even raspberry.
- For the alcohol: I like to use whipped cream or vanilla flavored vodka in my basic shot recipes. I like the added flavor it gives to the shots and it balances out the vodka flavor. You can also use plain vodka or another flavor of your choosing, of course!
- For the topping: I used bones and skull sprinkles for the topping. Each one has to be placed individually, but the end result is worth the extra few minutes! These sprinkles usually come in bottles of mixed Halloween sprinkles, so you will have to separate them out. You can get them on amazon (affiliate link) or your store that sells holiday baking supplies!

Tips for making Skeleton Jello Shots
These shots are pretty straightforward to make! One important tip is to add the sprinkles just before serving. Otherwise, they will start to melt in the jello and get all gooey. Be sure to let your shots set fully before adding the sprinkles.
