My son loves dessert, and I love the idea of being able to offer him a dessert that is somewhat healthy and not just candy! Enter, the fresh fruit sorbet! We made sorbet with fresh peaches this week and it turned out amazing! You really have to try it for yourself! The best part? It just takes a little blender action and some freezing, so your kids can help with almost every step along the way. Peaches are another favorite summer fruit and this sorbet is a blast of peach flavor and so refreshing for summer!
Peel and slice peaches, then freeze them. Add frozen peaches to blender.
Add yogurt and honey. Blend until smooth. You may have to pause the blender to help mix around the frozen peaches, as they tend to get stuck together. You can also add a splash of milk to help it along.
Eat immediately, or transfer to a container with a lid to freeze a little more.
Enjoy!

Fresh Peach Sorbet
Ingredients
- 5-6 fresh peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced*
- 1 small container vanilla yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- *alternately, you could use pre-frozen peaches
Instructions
- Peel and slice peaches, then freeze for several hours or overnight. Freeze in one layer if you can so they don't stick together in a big blob.
- Add peaches, yogurt and honey to blender and blend until smooth. Add a splash of milk if needed.
- Serve immediately, or transfer to a container to store in freezer.

Ummm this looks amazing! Fab pic!! We are bursting with apricots right now and this hadn’t occurred to me — we will definitely be doing this!!! Apricots can be a tad more sour than peaches, so I may be adding more yoghurt… I’m so ready to try this tomorrow! Thanks 😉
Love peaches! Your dessert looks yummy – even though I was kind of hoping for margaritas ;-)))
Ahh, this looks absolutely amazing!
My son loves peaches, so I am definitely going to make this for him to try!
I hope he loves it!
Um, yumm! Peaches are finally in season here so now just need to get my hands on some coconut yoghurt and this is being made. I also love finding healthier foods to offer my son instead of store bought processed versions. Love how easy this is to make!
Let me know how it turns out with the coconut yogurt!!
What a great idea. We also like healthy alternatives. I look forward to trying this!
Thanks Kate! Hope you like it!!
I made homemade ice cream all the time in the US, but haven’t here because my ice cream maker doesn’t fit in the freezer. (Expat problems!)
We’re definitely going to have to try this out!
Yes, it’s easy and you don’t need a big freezer to store it! Try it with banananas, too!
Yum, this looks fantastic! We will have to try this out this summer. My kids love to cook up sweet treats! I hope you will linkup with us at Small Victories Sunday Linkup and Pretty Pintastic Party both open now on my blog.
Thanks Tanya! I’ll be sure to check out your Pin Party!
Delicious – we did the same with berries and marscapone over the weekend! My lass turned her nose up at them when they were fresh but the second I made them into ‘ice cream’ she was all over them. Lovely sweet snaps too.
Thanks for this. I just made it with frozen raspberries and rice syrup instead of honey and the girls loved it. Will definitely try the peach/nectarines soon (I love them!)
What a yummy recipe! We loved it so much we featured it in our 25 Sweet and Savory Peach Recipes. You can see it here – http://bit.ly/PeachMania Thanks for sharing!
