If you’re looking for something to do with your left over mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving, then we’ve got something great for you today! For Mini Chef Mondays this week we’ve whipped up some yummy Mashed Potato Puffs. You can also make these with fresh mashed potatoes so if you don’t have any leftover, don’t worry!
I thought of this idea because we love the frozen Pommes Duchess, which we started buying when we moved to Switzerland. I wanted to try making them myself so Carter and I made some mashed potatoes and got to work!
For this recipe you need really smooth mashed potatoes so no potato chunks get stuck in the piping tip. You can use a cookie press with a piping tip or just a plastic baggy with the corner cut off. Beware: if you use the plastic bag make sure you mashed potatoes are fully cooled off so you don’t have a plastic baggy melt down! Simply fill with the mashed potatoes and squeeze out on a baking sheet into little puffs. Make them as small or big as you’d like!
Once you’ve filled your baking sheet with puffs, cook in the oven at 350F for about 20-25 minutes. The puffs should be slightly browned.
Serve and enjoy! What’s your favorite recipe for Thanksgiving leftovers?
