Farmers to You Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out Farmers to You, an online farmers market grocery service. They provided me with a gift card so I could shop online to try out their service.

Farmers to You review

Imagine shopping from your own home for fresh from the farm groceries. That’s basically what Farmers to You is! Farmers to You is an online farmers market so you can buy directly from the farms online. You set up an account and create your order, choosing from produce, dairy, meat and other seasonal goodies. For example, they have nuts, candy and holiday items. It’s different than a CSA because you able to select the items you want each week. You can also create a standing order that would repeat each week. All the farms are located in Vermont and they have pick up locations around Vermont as well as in the Boston area. They also deliver to those areas for an extra fee. Currently they only serve these areas, so if you live in or near Boston and want some farmers market items delivered to you, then this is perfect!

Farmers to You Loot

My loot

I was able to try out a large variety of products from Farmers to You! From fresh cheese to veggies to bagels. I even ordered some ice cream and applesauce.  All the produce was really good, the potatoes were especially amazing! We had just been apple picking so I didn’t order any fruit this time!

Pick up was super easy, I just headed to my local pick up spot (which you select online when you order) and my order was ready and waiting for me in labeled bags! The woman running the pick up was also the mom of one of the kids in my son’s kindergarten class!

Farmers to You Cheeses

In my opinion, the best items from our loot were the dairy items. The chocolate milk was absolutely amazing and the cheeses I ordered were awesome, too! We had a cheese and fresh bread appetizer made up of just products from my order and everyone loved it! Nothing beats a slice of nice soft fresh bread!

Once you figure out the website, it’s very easy to use. One thing to keep in mind is that the order you create will repeat every week unless you change it so make sure you go back into your account after you place your Sunday night order, otherwise you’ll be sent the same thing the next week as well! Overall I thought Farmers to You was a great experience, and it’s especially good for those wanting to support local farmers directly.

If you live in the Boston area or Vermont and want to try out Farmers to You for yourself you can get 15% off your order placed by December 19th using code: MMA15. Let me know if you try it out!
