It’s time for another fun batch of Jello shots! I made these Tequila Sunrise jello shots for a neighbor get together and they were a hit!
Tequila Sunrise was my go-to drink in college, so I thought it would make a perfect jello shot! Plus, I had tequila leftover from making margaritas, so why not? For these shots I used orange juice in the orange layer instead of water to really make the colors pop. The orange juice mixed with the orange jello really made a super bright orange layer!
Since Tequila Sunrise drinks are made with grenadine on the bottom, I went with cherry jello for the bottom layer. I decided to keep the layers equal so none of the cherry jello would be wasted.
Tip: When making layered shots be sure to let the first layer set fully before adding the second layer so you get a defined line between the layers! But, if you want the colors to slightly mix together, you can shorten the setting time so the first layer is set, but not too firm. This way you get a blend, as shown in these shots!
Now on to the recipe!
