Pimm’s cup gelatin shots are a fun twist on a British classic! If you’re looking for a playful way to elevate your next summer gathering, Pimm’s Cup Jello shots might just be your new party trick. Inspired by the iconic British cocktail, these jiggly, jewel-toned treats bring all the refreshing, garden-party vibes of a traditional Pimm’s Cup, just with a cheeky twist.

What is a Pimm’s Cup?
At its core, the Pimm’s Cup is a light, citrusy cocktail known for its cucumber slices, fresh fruit, and herbal undertones. Pimm’s No. 1 is the alcohol used for this drink. Pimm’s is a gin based liquor which is infused with spices and fruity flavor. The liquor was invented in the 1800s in England and was designed to be mixed with lemonade.
Over time the cocktail evolved into the Pimm’s Cup we know today! The general recipe is Pimms No.1 mixed with either lemonade, lemon-lime soda or ginger ale. The drink is then garnished with various fruits, especially lemon, lime, strawberries, orange slices and cucumber. You can also add mint leaves or other fruit slices, such as apple! It’s very customizable.

Pimm’s cup gelatin shots are perfect for a summer party! The flavor of the Pimm’s Cup is refreshing and fruity and its the official summer cocktail of many events in England! Because the liquor itself isn’t as strong as vodka or other liquors usually used for shots, this is lighter shot.
How to make Pimm’s Cup Gelatin Shots
For the alcohol: Of course you will need Pimm’s No. 1 for these shots! It’s literally in the name. You can try to find a substitute, but in my opinion this drink calls for the original!
For the base: The original recipe used a sparkling lemonade for a nice summer vibe. However, if you don’t have any or can’t find it near you, Sprite or a similar lemon-lime soda will work! You could also use ginger ale for a slightly different flavor. This drink is very customizable so just use what you have on hand for your own peace of mind! Regular lemonade would be fine, too.
For the gelatin: I use knox gelatin for these shots, which comes in boxes with little envelopes. One envelope (packet) is used for this recipe. It’s important to let the gelatin bloom before heating or stirring. This means allowing it to fully absorb the liquid, which in turn allows the gelatin to mix in properly and not become lumpy. Simply sprinkle the gelatin over the top of the soda so it is all touching liquid and can plump up with the soda before you heat it up!
For the garnish: This is another great way to customize your shots! I added orange slices and mint leaves to mine (the mint is just for decoration). Other common garnishes for Pimm’s cups include lemon slices, strawberries and cucumber. You could also use apple slices, if you prefer. When life gives you fruit, slice it up and put it your Pimm’s cup!
